Mission Statement
The Soli Deo
Gloria Experience (SDG) has been around for nearly thirty years. However, our missions remains the same: doing all for God’s glory
alone. Every attempt is made to model Paul’s admonition in I Corinthians
10:31: “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the
glory of God.”
This experience has several purposes,
which include creating opportunities to (a) model living for God’s honor
and glory, (b) build interpersonal relationships, and (c) serve one another. We
accomplish these purposes by inviting participants to share what God has been
doing in their lives and participate in a quality Bible Quiz tournament. We
desire to help each other learn to live beyond ourselves and live according to
biblical principles.
Furthermore,
since God is always seeking us to provide what we need for life and godliness,
the experience is an ideal opportunity to reflect on what He is teaching us. We
have been called to do so as God does since we have been given the ministry of
reconciliation (II Corinthians 5:18-19). Spending an entire weekend together
gives repeated opportunities to seek ways to serve Him.
